Does this ability solve the problem, "what happen's when a Mimic mimics"? The skill is derived from the Mimic's ability to "mimic". Morgan appears to morph into the targeted object, with sight and control of the object.

Here lies the truth. Morgan is controlled in first person. The mimicked object is controlled in third person. We do not see from the object's prespective but from an external viewpoint.

This would lead us to think that Morgan appears to be shapeshifting, but he is in fact withdrawing into a wormhole and being replaced by the object. He connects with a psi-link to the object and can control it from the alternate dimension where he also creates a clairvoyant view of the object.

The Mimic Matter ability seems to support the researchers' leading hypothesis that Mimics move to an alternate dimension and replace themselves with an object, which is also likely from another dimension.
