The KASMA Command Key is an item held by Claire Whitten.
Overview[]
Claire starts with the Command Key whenever she begins on the moon.
After Claire destroys all of her listening devices, she is instructed by Basilisk to place the command key inside of Riley Yu's Datavault Operator. Basilisk informs Claire that there is a surprise inside when Riley attempts to upload her consciousness into the operator, in addition to launching the Operator into space, and then being a tracking beacon so that another KASMA operative may retrieve the datavault at a later time.
This "surprise" for Riley is a program that painfully kills the original Riley Yu after her consciousness is uploaded. It is this body that a player must find in order to unlock Riley to use in the simulation.
The Command Key broadcasts its signal and is retrieved by Peter. After he completes all of his objectives, Peter takes the command key in order to assume command of his mostly airless pod and crash it into KASMA's lunar base.

- The doors and locks of Pytheas do not appear to be included in the "many forms of machinery and technology" that this key can override, as Claire can open doors without it and other characters cannot open doors with it.
