Gus Magill is a cargo engineer working on Talos I during Prey (2017).

History[]

Background[]

Magill worked as a cargo engineer in Cargo Bay aboard Talos I. After getting a shipment of Reployers, Magill asked everyone at the engineering as to what the machine did, but he couldn't get a definitive answer. He then contacted Lane Carpenter asking for him to come by and tell him what this machine does. While a little agitated, Carpenter agrees to come during the evening and check the Reployer.

Magill then found a fabricator plan for an autonomous turret, that was stashed with a bunch of old capacitor cells slated for delivery to the Pytheas facility in an outbound container. He proceeded to contact Thaddeus York, asking if these plan belonged to him.

Later, Magill was contacted by Grant Lockwood who multiple times asked to show him to dock a container, but Gus refuses to help. After Cargo Bay A doors rupture caused by the explosion of Chloride Trifluoride container, Gerald Wildman informs him about the situation. Mikhaila Ilyushin also informs Magill that they have wielded exterior door in Cargo Bay B.

After Anders Kline fails to receive a shipment, Magill dispatched an Engineering Operator to check it out what happened. While passing the Psychotronics in G.U.T.S., the Operator runs into a strange energy anomaly. Shortly after the Operator became unresponsive. Magill writes in the email to Kline, that he will send someone to check on the Operator after they finish a critical fuel transfer.

Prey (2017)[]

Morgan Yu finds Magill's corpse in small hallway with multiple open flames that can't be put out with GLOO Cannon at Cargo Bay. He's burned body suggest that the open flames were the cause of his death. Magill carries burnt circuit board, spare parts, a note and crispy frites. A medkit and TranScribe lays near his corpse.
