Alex's Arming Key is a story item in Prey (2017), and is required to destroy Talos I. Receiving the item completes the story quest The Keys to the Kingdom.
Overview[]
Alex's Arming Key can be found in Alex Yu's inventory when Morgan meets him in the Arboretum after completing the quest The Repo Man. His inventory can be accessed when the Apex Typhon envelops Talos I and depressurizes the Arboretum, incapacitating him.
In order to receive one of the game's endings which depend on destroying Talos I, Alex's Arming Key must be used in conjunction with Morgan's Arming Key in the self-destruct chamber underneath Talos I's reactor in the Power Plant.
Being a story item, Alex's Arming Key cannot be recycled.
